This simple yet profound statement encapsulates the essence of our Weconnect app, which we developed for the We4tech competition. The competition challenged us to tackle real-world problems faced by the state and central government, and we chose to focus on the issue of disconnected alumni networks.
Weconnect is a social media-inspired app designed to create a seamless connection between students and professionals. Unlike traditional social media platforms, Weconnect aims to eliminate the fear of missing out (FOMO) while offering all the essential features for effective networking.
Our app includes personalized profiles, group discussions, and a job board. These features allow users to showcase their skills, connect with like-minded individuals, stay informed about upcoming events, and explore alumni networks.
We’re proud to announce that Weconnect secured 2nd place in the We4tech competition. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.
Developing Weconnect has been a valuable experience. It has not only allowed us to contribute to a meaningful cause but has also provided us with valuable skills and knowledge in software development, project management, and teamwork.
We believe that Weconnect have the potential to make a significant difference in the lives of students and professionals by strengthening alumni networks and fostering a sense of community. We are committed to continuing to develop and improve the app to ensure its long-term success.

Recently we participated in the Colgate Palmolive- Transcend Challenge 2024. This project was a fun challenge to understand how we could make this product stand out in the crowded toothpaste market.
We started by learning about what people liked and didn’t like about toothpastes. We wanted to know what made Colgate special and how we could communicate that to customers for their premium ste of products. Based on our research, we created a plan to promote in a way that would appeal to the right people.
We used different marketing tools and strategies to reach our target audience. Our goal was to show people why Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd‘s Premium Range is a better choice than other toothpastes.
I’m really proud of the work we did on Transcend. Although we didn’t progress to the later stages of the competition, reaching the second round was a significant accomplishment. I want to thank Colgate-Palmolive and Welingkar Institute of Management for giving us this opportunity and also thank Falgoon Nanda and Aishwarya Bisht for their hard work and support.

As I put together this presentation, which has been a great learning experience. And who knows, maybe Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd is looking for a new hashtag#BrandManager or hashtag#SocialMediaMarketingManager?
I’m eager to contribute my expertise to your organization. Please feel free to reach out if you’d like to discuss my background further.

As we all know Mumbai as โ€œ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ป๐—ผ ๐—ธ๐—ฎ ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ฟโ€, The City of Dream. But I read somewhere that the Moving from one busy metropolis to another might seem like a seamless transition, but the cultural variations and pace of life in Mumbai can still be quite different from Kolkata. For me, the shift from the laid-back charm of Kolkata to the fast-paced energy of Mumbai was a significant adjustment. However, institutions like Welingkar aka โ€œWeschoolโ€ can provide a supportive environment to help me adjust. The institute’s supportive environment and the closeness among students have made me feel at home. I’ve made some incredible friends here, and the informative sessions by industry professionals have been invaluable and have helped me understand the specific dynamics of the Mumbai market. I’ve learned firsthand that building strong relationships can open doors to countless opportunities. The “Network is Net Worth” concept has resonated with me deeply. Additionally, participating in extracurricular activities and clubs helped me develop new skills and broaden my horizons.

Beyond academics, exploring Mumbai has been an exciting adventure. While Kolkata has its own unique charm, Mumbai’s diversity and energy are captivating. From trying the passenger train aka Local to exploring iconic landmarks, I’ve discovered a city that offers a completely different experience.
Discovering a city that is both exciting and welcoming is a great experience , and I’m excited to see what the future holds.

Mumbai please treat me well ๐Ÿคž

We feel safe and comfortable when we keep doing the things that we know. It gives us a sense of security, and we tend to say โ€œyesโ€ to things we know and โ€œnoโ€ to things we don’t know.
But are we gaining anything out of it? The answer is โ€œNO.โ€ I read this quote somewhere, which says,
“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” It’s us who can create new opportunities for ourselves and live outside of our comfort zone. Start saying โ€œyesโ€ to new things, and exactly that is what I did. After the successful completion of Funchaiyat Season 1, NIHT & Madoveradz presented the youth and students with Funchaiyat Season 2 with some of the most renowned and accomplished personalities like Suraj JunejaSumit AgarwalSrishti Nadhani , and RISHAV SADHU. I had the honor to moderate them throughout the various sessions. That adrenaline rush and feel-good chemicals flooded into my brain, giving me a completely new experience and opportunity to learn. It is always important to stretch and grow outside of our comfort zone.
But remember to look back and see how far you have come. We always tend to wear our victory as a badge and hide our failure. But the truth is, we grow when we celebrate both our victory and failure and have the courage to do it again!
Keep saying โ€œyesโ€ to new opportunities and keep growing!
